Field Trip Fun

Keeping Scarlett safe at school is always on my mind and I've always tried to eliminate as much stress as I can on her teachers when it comes to things like field trips, jog-a-thons, and field days. Because of this I've had the privilege of joining Scarlett on every field trip she has gone on. (Well maybe her Daddy took her to one) We've seen several performances, played in pumpkin patches, visited wildlife preserves, but this years took the cake. What was described by Scarlett as "the best field trip EVER",  turned into a  learning experience for me as well. I was reminded time and time again as we hiked 3 hours through a fairly skinny tretorous trail that Scarlett really has learned how to navigate through hiking, climbing, etc in a safe manner, making cautious decisions but still feeling like she has the freedom to explore at her own will. NHF Walk 2016-Hemophilia Foundation of Northern California

Each year people from all walks of life come together for local chapter walks to help support the National Hemophilia Foundation in its quest to support research and services for people with bleeding disorders. From Spring to Fall individuals of all ages, from Anchorage to Honolulu raise money and find sponsors while dedicating themselves to making a difference and spreading awareness. My local chapter, the Hemophilia Foundation of Northern California participated in it's 8th annual walk at the beautiful Lake Merritt this year. It was a wonderful Spring day and we couldn't have asked for better weather. Our family and friends came from all over to walk with us this year!! This is the 3rd year my family has participated and I'd be lying if I said this year didn't take the cake.
